On the SAS Portal, click on the Assessment tab, select Assessment Creator, and read about summative, formative, diagnostic and benchmark assessments.

Write about the four types of assessments. Discuss several formative assessment practices you use in your teaching practices. Also mention several strategies that you use in summative assessments that you design.
- Explain why it is important to have a variety of assessments that evaluate learning.
- Explain why it is critical for the assessments that you create to be aligned with the standards.
- Explain how you can ensure that assessments are fair, motivating, and aligned to student interests.
Please be sure to write a two page, double-spaced response. If you are typing your response directly in the Assessments Tool, include at least five developed paragraphs.
