Refer to each Learning Activity for specific directions concerning forum posts. Pay special attention about making replies to class members' postings — some forum postings require a reply, while others do not.

Save your work.

It is always a good idea to create and save any assignments and long forum posts in your word processing program before attempting to post or submit them online. Creating and saving documents in a word processing program has several advantages:

• You will not lose your hard work if your Internet connection is interrupted while you're working in Sakai.
• You will be able to run spelling and grammar checks on your work before posting.
• You will have your saved work for future reference.
