Force Fits
[Forum]
"Force Fit" is a term used to describe content-related similes. Choosing concepts and relating them to objects or abstract ideas requires some creative and critical thinking. At first glance, it may seem that there is no common ground. However, great connections and insights can be found when finding a similarity.
- Fill in the blanks in the following Force Fit statement (see examples below):
DI is like __________________ because __________________________________________.
- Create a Force Fit that relates to content you are currently teaching.
- Post your DI Force Fit and the Force Fit you created to the Forum under 3-A-1: Force Fits.
- Read the Force Fits created by your classmates. Respond to at least one classmate.
Differentiated Instruction is like an Onion... there are so many different layers of difference in a classroom. You have to deal with these layers individually.
DI is like a tree an oak tree that grows slowly - with DI you may want to implement things slowly... one change at a time.
