For students to grow their online networks, their content needs to be able to be found online. Technology is available to give your students a worldwide audience, but that audience has to be able to find them first. When we talk about making students “clickable,” we mean making them accessible to search engines and making it easier for people to find them and their work. It’s much more difficult for students to build their learning networks if no one else can find them (or at least their content). In this topic, we will also talk about teaching students how to respond once they are found by others.
