Teaching and learning spaces cannot remain the “chalk and talk” classrooms of previous decades. The structure of classrooms needs to fundamentally shift to prepare students for a connected world. New literacies and “big shifts” in education are needed. Technology is a large part of this, but the real changes happen because of what technology enables us to do—connect, converse, contribute, create, and collaborate.
