Playing Diner Dash
[On Your Own]
0 points
Diner Dash is readily available online, so you shouldn’t need to download a version to play. If you have, previous to this course, purchased this game for personal use, please skip to Activity 4-A-2. The online version does work in both a PC and Mac environment. On a Mac, there are plug-in issues using Safari; Mozilla Firefox is recommended as the browser.
When you are ready to play the game, either jump right into the “endless shift” or check out the directions in “help” or the tutorial found under “Flo’s career.”

After playing the game Diner Dash, answer the following questions in a post to the Forum :
- Gee argues that videogames are powerful learning systems because they make players think about them through patterns or simulations of things situated in the real world.
- Having played Diner Dash, would you agree that this is the case?
- What are some of those patterns?
- What is being simulated?
