This module explores the characteristics of self-directed learners. If students are engaged in the learning process at an appropriate level of challenge, they begin to develop skills that build self-directedness. Each of the DI strategies presented in this module is designed to build and reinforce student self-directedness. The module concludes with ideas about how to meet the needs of your advanced and gifted learners.
