- Take the following survey: Self-Assessment Checklist for Personnel Providing Services and Supports In Early Intervention and Early Childhood Settings
- In addition, assess your practice using one of the models for change presented in this module:
- Howard's Achievement Triangle
- Gay, Oberg, and Shade's Culturally Competent Teaching
- Banks Curriculum Transformation
- Write a 1-3 page self-assessment of your cultural competence based on the model you have chosen. For an example of how to cite using APA format, please visit the Purdue Online Writing Lab.
- Use the results from your self-evaluation to create some goals for areas you would like to address. These goals will be used in your action plan in Activity 8-B-2.
