So far, you have been introduced to the Compelling Whys, 5Cs, and KTAV. In this topic, you will begin to explore how your brain organizes and perceives information (GASC).

Once you take information into your brain through your senses as you are learning, your mind perceives information (either abstractly or concretely) and organizes it (either sequentially or globally) so you can make sense of it. Individuals have different perceptual and organizational styles, or preferences.

In this course, you will learn about how you perceive and organize information — globally, abstractly, sequentially, concretely (GASC) — and how that affects your teaching and learning. Once you have this information, you can tailor your teaching strategies and classroom learning activities to meet the needs of all students.
