2. Think about how you would answer these questions:

  • How could the use of basic questioning advance student learning?
  • How could the use of specific questioning strategies foster students' understanding of content?
  • How could student-led inquiry-based approaches impact student understanding?

3. Take the Pre-Assessment.

Reflect on your current experience with creating and asking questions that encourage the gathering of information. Write a five to seven sentence paragraph that includes the following:

  • A summary of your experience creating and asking questions that gather information.
  • A description of two specific examples of how questions that encourage the gathering of information have been used within your classroom and the outcome of asking those questions.

Submit your responses on the Assessments Tab. (Pre-Assessment 1.1)
