Module 8: Running the Course
In this module, you enter into the implementation phase of the course design cycle. You will explore the learning management system (LMS) that will house your course. Next, you will consider field testing and the possible benefits for your course. Finally, you will review general considerations for preparing to teach an online course.
At the completion of this Module, you will be able to:
- Describe the major components of the instructional design process.
- Prepare an online course for implementation using various multimedia, authoring, and delivery tools.
- Reflect continuously on personal expertise, using the knowledge and skills associated with this course, and use these insights actively as the basis for ongoing professional growth.
- Work collaboratively to share knowledge, skills, and experiences; refine understanding of content; give and receive feedback; and improve expertise.
