Standards Aligned System Module 8: Integrating SAS

Student AgendaFinal Project

In this course you explored the six elements of the Standards Aligned System. These six elements are the key foundational components that must be properly aligned for students to be academically successful. Although each component was discussed separately, you have learned through creating your lesson plan that they are all intertwined and must be properly aligned to ensure student success.

In addition to aligning the SAS elements, you also examined the requirements to develop your students' critical thinking skills. You also learned how to create meaningful instruction that will resonate with your students many years after they have left your classroom.

Creating a fully-aligned lesson plan is the major outcome of this course, and in this topic we will leave you with a few poignant thoughts that will help ensure that your lesson is fully aligned to your students' needs.
