Before beginning this activity, please read "Describing 16 Habits of Mind" by A. Costa and B. Kallick.
From the reading, identify an Intelligent Behavior that you or a student of yours has exhibited. In a post to the Forum, explain the situation (problem presented) and you or your student's reaction to it. Were there any steps that you needed to take to correct the behavior?
For example, your student announces that writing letters is too difficult and throws his pencil down in frustration. What was your immediate reaction, and how did you help your student?
Respond to at least one classmate who has shared a different Intelligent Behavior. Speculate on how you may have responded to your classmate's situation had you experienced it yourself. If you have already experienced that behavior (but not posted it), offer an explanation of your own experience and your solution.
