Communicating with Families
Families may have lots of questions about project-based learning:
- Is it instructionally sound?
- How will my child be evaluated?
- Is my child learning what he/she should be learning?
- What about the book?
- Where is the homework?
Address these types of questions before they arise by sending families an explanatory letter at the beginning of every project. Include the project’s timeline and project requirements along with letter to let parents know exactly what their child will be accomplishing as they work on the project.
