After completing this module you will be able to:

• Develop strategies to enhance students' sight word vocabulary
• Explain several ways to teach students how to look for context clues in the books they read
• Develop a lesson plan to teach students about prefixes, suffixes, compound words, and contractions
• Describe how to enable students to apply the various decoding skills as they read independently
