During science class, Mr. Thompson asks his students to remember everything they can about their unit study on the ocean. He then reads them a poem about the ocean (from a dolphin's point of view). After each stanza, he asks students what they think the dolphin sees and what they already know about the ocean. At the conclusion of the poem, each student writes a short poem about the ocean from an ocean creature's point of view.

Which reading strategies is Mr. Thompson using in the vignette above? How is he connecting it to his students' learning preferences? Which Intelligent Behaviors is he reinforcing? What would you do differently?
