Introduction to Interactive Multimedia Projects
The title of this course, Merging Educational Goals and Interactive Multimedia Projects, brings together two essential elements of today’s classroom:
- Educational goals as defined by today's content and technology standards.
- Technology, specifically interactive multimedia projects.
At the completion of this Module, you will be able to:
- Discuss how educational research supports the use of multimedia projects to increase student learning.
- Discuss the expectations placed on today’s teachers to use technology in their classrooms, the range of skills teachers need to learn as a result, and the standards that guide instruction and professional development.
- Describe the ideal learning environment of technology-infused classrooms and the qualities of the teacher-student relationship in a collaborative setting, including the critical thinking skills that such an environment supports.
- Distinguish among types and characteristics of interactive multimedia projects (IMPs) and their purposes in the teaching/learning process.
- Analyze whether content meets copyright and fair use guidelines for classroom multimedia projects.
- Evaluate your personal practice, adjust it accordingly, and actively seek out opportunities to grow professionally using the knowledge and skills learned in this course.
