Assignment RubricChoose a unit of study or lesson plan that you use in your classroom. If you do not have a unit of study or lesson plan, you may use the resources at nylearns.org.
In a word processing document:
- Create a rubric for an After Reading activity that is part of that lesson plan. Make sure to include a description and/or guidelines of the activity in the document.
- Explain how you:
- Formulate the activity.
- Construct the rubric.
- Analyze the information gathered by using the rubric. If you have not used a rubric in your classroom, speculate on how you would analyze the information gathered.
- Share the information with students and parents.
- Include how rubrics support various learning populations (ELL/ESL, minimal reading ability or other special population), the Multiple Intelligences, and the Intelligent Behaviors that you are asking the students to exhibit.
Please note that this activity and rubric will also be used as part of your final project.
