Learning Activity 3-D-2

Local Documents, Data, and Cartoons

[Assignment]

This week, your focus for the local history project should be on documents, data, and political cartoons.

Collect at least five primary documents, data, and/or political cartoons (from various sources) for your project. (That is, you can't find five pictures from one source and call them your five "finds" for the week.) Each source should come from a different site (URL). Start thinking about how you can integrate these sources into your project.

Continue to use the Local History Project Plan Worksheet you previously started. You can either paste links to the sources or paste the sources directly in your worksheet. Try to collect a combination of local and national online sources. For each source, provide a description of the source and any ideas on how it might connect to the final project. Be sure to save your worksheet! Submit your worksheet in Assignments.

If you are having difficulty finding or selecting sources, please contact your instructor for assistance.
