Part 1: Prepare for the chat
- Set up a time to meet in chat with your small group. Remember to pay attention to time zones. Plan for about an hour to complete the activity, although you may not need the entire hour.
- On your own, evaluate two online animation or video tools. You should be prepared to share the pros and cons of each tool for different projects with your group.
Part 2: During the small group chat
- Determine your project:
- Decide on an idea for an IMP.
- Determine the goal of the IMP.
- Create a brief description of the IMP.
- Align it to the NETS-S standard(s).
- Compare and contrast the tools each individual researched with your small group in the small group chat room.
- With your small group, choose what you agree is the best one to use with your IMP.
- Construct an argument why you think it would be the best choice for your students in creating your IMP. This rationale will be posted in the Forum in Activity 5-B-2.
- Decide which group member will post the rationale to the Forum.
