Before beginning this activity, review A Hypertext History of Instructional Design.

Please use the World Clock Meeting Planner to determine the best time for you to gather for a synchronous chat. You may, also, want to designate one person from your group as a moderator.

After going through A Hypertext History of Instructional Design, as a small group discuss in Chat how the history of instructional design affects how courses are developed today. What influences has it had on what you do now? Think about this in terms of contrasting what you do now and what it would be like in a one room school house a hundred years ago.

When finished, post a summary of your group's discoveries to the Forum.
