Group Quest

[Small Group/Forum]

15 points

For this activity, you will need to agree on a time to meet within RuneScape. Use the Messages tool to communicate within your small group. The World Clock Meeting Planner is an excellent tool that will help your small group determine what time suits everyone in the group.

Additionally, you will need to determine before hand which "world" you will meet on. For this quest, you should all meet at Farmer Fred’s farm, located northwest of Lumbridge.

Log in as a group and try to solve the Sheep Shearer quest. One group member will take a screen shot of the entire group on quest and post it to the class Forum. Please note that the quest does not need to be "completed;" however, it would be great to try to get one member to complete the quest (or to at least spend a minimum of 30 minutes of attempting to complete the quest together). This will provide members with an opportunity to experience working together online.

When on your quest observe how the game facilitates the distribution and social dissemination of knowledge.

To take a screen shot of the game, do the following:

  1. Before going into the game, open a photo or picture editing program, like Photoshop.
  2. Open a new canvas.
  3. During game play, press the Print Scrn button, typically located in the upper right side of the keyboard.
  4. Paste the screen shot into the canvas by pressing the CTRL+V or clicking on Edit>Paste.
  5. If possible, try to make the image as small as possible but with the group members still visible.
  6. Save the image on your computer as Group#_groupquest.jpg (replace the # with the letter of your group name).
  7. Attach the image to a post in the Forum. No response to other groups’ posts needed.
